was standard issue when I was in the army, had not changed from 1944 to
1967, still packaged the same.. the 1/4 lb cans were very handy..
little hole in the top for the blasting cap, sealed with waxed paper or
foil,IIRC: just push the cap through the seal.
also came in 1/2 LB and 1 LB cans
