Here's an explanation from someone who was there. Ukrainian Nymphets
and Ukrainian Angels simply changed their names because it was thought
inappropriate to advertise where the material originated from. The
operation may have gotten bigger but it was always the same people
involved. They were never "taken over" by something called LS studio.
Indeed the term LS studio was already being used during the early
peiod when the sites still had "Ukrainian" in them. This view was
confirmed later on the LS forum by the "owner" and there was a
reluctance even on that form to acknowledge where the stuff came from.
If anyone posted a message to the forum that included the word
"Ukrainian" that word was censored (along with profanities). You
always had to post it misspelt or with a hyphen in the middle. For
guys that used their country in the original site names they
eventually became very sensitive about any reference to where they and
the models came from.
The sites with their changed names (ie Gentle Angels, Lovely Nynphets,
etc) were all operated on the same basis. Members would join for a
month and in return you would get all the old sets plus weekly
updates. But if you joined once it really wasn't worth rejoining
again for the same price simply to get 4 update sets (especially as
there was a big risk that one or more of the updates was going to be
"off topic" or otherwise undesirable). This was obvious to the
operators who were getting fewer and fewer returning subscribers. It
was on the LS forum that regulars pushed the line that LS (and BD for
that matter) would be better off ditching the "update" style of site
and opt instead for issuing regular fixed content sites instead. LS
were a little reluctant at first because of the concerns over piracy
(most of their updates from Gentle/Charming Angels and Lovely
Nymphets) were being posted within a day or two of appearing on their
sites into news groups). But in the end they started experimenting
with the first non updated sites.
The earliest of these were LS Extension and LS Girls. These were a
quantum leap forward both in terms of explicitness and in terms of
production quality over the old updated sites. Even the name of the
new site was a give away - "extension" (ie an extension from their
existing stable of old updated sites)
With the success of the fixed content sites LS decided to stop
updating the old sites as others had suggested on their forum. In
order not to piss off those who had recently joined those old sites
they issued a special series of final updates all on the same day
consisting of 5 longer (and generally more explicit) sets similar in
style to the ones now appearing in the new fixed content sites. These
special sets all were given file names similar to but different to the
sites they were intended for. Hence you have these ones CONdor has
recently posted for Gentle Angels. There were also sets called
"chara" (sets 1 thru 5) which were the special final update for
Charming Angels and also "fallg" sets 1 thru 5 which were the special
Fallen Girls last update and so on. After those last 5 sets none of
those sites were ever updated again (although you could still purchase
access to them as an archive site for a discount) and LS concentrated
on their fixed content sites after that (such as LS Lolita, Pretty
Animals, Shineing Pretties etc) until they started the LS Land and LS
Magazine series which ended up being an amalgam of the two sites
styles. They were stand alone fixed content sites but they followed a
pattern and were produced in the same manner and each new LS Land was
kind of like an "update". Finally they started producing a high
quality video only site (LS Dreams) which was their last project at
the time they were closed down by Ukrainian authorities in June 2004.
Hope that provides some added information and an explanation for
these unusual file names. Happy for anyone who was also present when
those things were going on to correct any mistakes I may have made but
I think my brief summary is pretty accurate.
