Vol/Par2 files were posted at the same time as zip file,
at a 16% redundancy (I think), and all file parts show as
healthy on my access to the posting server (Giganews).
- Downloaded file segments from server, complete.
- Without using pars, assembled using a standard tool,
but it failed as a final file with an incomplete zip (4 KB).
- Using a *secondary* tool for the assembly of parts, the
finished file showed as an identical byte size as the orininal
zip posted (280.6 MB, or 294,179,138 bytes).
- Using this available secondary tool to assemble the parts
yeilded a good extraction, and no pars were used.
- Suggest you might try a different tool to assemble/extract
the segments with, other than what you normally use.
Obviously, something is wrong, but I *don't* know what.
Propogation to your server may also be incomplete.
Considering those things, I can still generate a new set of
vol/par2 files at at greater % redundancy, if you think that
will solve the problem you are seeing.
lemmeNoe.
