CSV Processor software Netfront http://www.netf ..

Hi guys. I've been working on some software to automatically file the
images/vids uploaded by RFF according to his csv file. I am now prepared to
make this program available for anybody to test/use. You can download the
executable here:

http://www.filedropper.com/csvprocessormdi

The executable is a stand alone program and does not require installation.
Under the File menu, ignore the 'New Multiple' option as this is currently
empty. There are 2 forms that can be used. Those are 'Process New Files' and
'Build CSV'.

Process New Files - This will take a folder of 'new files' or files that you
are yet to file according to csv and will place them in the correct
locations for you. You must select the Root Folder and this is the folder
called 'Joanne Guest' which contains your collection. Directly below this
folder should be 'Solo Sets', etc. You must also select the folder
containing the files to process and select a csv file provided by RFF.
Clicking the 'Process Files' button will sort the files accordingly. Files
that do not match the csv will be put into a folder called 'processed' one
level about the Root Folder and will be sorted according to the reason for
rejection. After processing files, some files may be placed in
processed/not_in_csv_files. You can click 'Check not_in_csv_files for CRC
matches' and this will check the CRC values of those files against RFF's csv
and if it finds matches it will rename the file to the correct name and put
it in the correct location. Some files may end up in
processed/duplicate_files. These are files that all ready exist in your
collection and there is a button provided to delete these if you wish.

Build CSV - Again you must select the Root Folder and RFF's csv file (or
some other csv file if you have your own that you wish to sort by). There
are then 4 buttons available. I would suggest using each of these in
sequence initially. The first will create missing.csv which lists all the
files listed in RFF's csv but not in your collection. Next you can build a
full csv file of your own collection. This takes around 30 minutes to
complete on my PC as the CRC value of each file has to be calculated and
this takes a while for the videos. 3rd you can build a csv of extra files in
your collection that do not appear in RFF's csv. This function also checks
if your extra files are simply mis-filed or mis-named files and will
move/rename files accordingly if required. It will also update missing.csv
and myFull.csv with any changes. Finally you can use the cross-referencing
button that will look in the collection to try to find more of your missing
files. Some files are stored to 2 locations in RFF's csv so this function
will find and copy images that are only saved in one location and put it in
the other. This should further reduce the number of files in your
missing.csv file.

Please anybody go ahead and give it a try and report any bugs/problems that
you find. Also I would welcome any requests for additional functionality. I
have made the program generic so it can be used for any picture collection,
not just Jo Guest, if you find it useful.
