It is called a spool - I have a text only newsserver called Hamster but
it works like a full newsserver - think Apache Web Server - Astraweb went
from 36,000 newsgroups to 110,000 newsgroups eliminating newsgroups that
were not supported by US Newsgroups. Spend $3.00 for a trial with US
Newsgroups and what Astraweb is now selling is US Newsgroups. Thwy have
a program to be a reseller which I almost signed up for - but Astraweb
has. It is the death of Usenet for myself - when AT&T stopped Astraweb
kept the same groups so now 20 years later Astraweb has joined the enemy
of Usenet
