You're right, I didn't think about how it was placed at a handy height!
I find the backgrounds in some pics as interesting as the ladies in the
foreground. Often it reveals hints of how just plain folks lived and
what sort of things they surrounded themselves with (furnishings,
appliances, etc.). Some of the stuff I recognize, some is a mystery.
