When, some months ago, extreme spamming of this group began, a post
appeared warning the foreign spammers that they would lose their
connection to Usenet if they did not cease.
A few scoffed at the notion that such termination could be
accomplished? Uninformed as they were, they said "nothing could be
done" and "it was a joke to try and have them shut down". Little did
they know.
Note in fact that recently, the spam has nearly ceased in this group.
The group's operation has returned to nearly normal operation.
The spammers have been seriously curtailed by their Usenet
connections. Further spamming by them, if they attempt to move to a
different supplier, will also result in termination of their accounts.
The spammers will likely attempt a return at some point. Until then,
enjoy this group as it was intended.

and others.
The spammers and their off topic pictures of alleged teen age girls
and other weird personages are gone!
