Hey, RR, I did some googling on Mona Raye. Didn't turn up a smoking gun
or useful pics but some stuff that may eventually lead to one....
About that July 1956 Bare magazine issue, ebay showed one. Here's the
seller's summary:
"Betty Blue covergirl/layout/center; Barbara Nichols rear cover.
Articles on Acapulco vice, bigamy, Jack Van Trees fiction, Vegas vs.
Reno. Pinups of Mona Ray, Joannie Smith, Ann Fleming, Jane Easton."
So the name Mona Raye is in that particular issue. A strong hint,
perhaps? But we may have to look up the other girls who are mentioned.
If anyone is a burly-q film collector, Mona also appeared in a couple.
1) Fancy Femmes (1952 Short Film). This short features 4 separate
striptease routines. The first is performed by Stacy, followed by Mona,
Lolita and concluding with Cheri. (17 mins.) Stars: Stacy Farrell, Mona
Raye, Lolita, Cheri.
2) The Art of Burlesque (1950 or 1954, references differ).
Also known as: Strip Tease College Girls, Striptease College, Striptease
College Girls (alternative spelling), The Professor Misbehaves. 58 mons.
Mona Raye appears as Lotta Class.
