With the loss of crazy Hugh and the Hip Nip, somebody might join in. I
have been just finding stuff, not all to my taste given my proclivity
for, um, larger ladies, but I'm sharing anyway. At the moment a huge
backlog.
In the past I assume that posters simply found backdoors that allowed
rapid collection which they kindly reposted. I suppose that sort of
thing has decreased so we see fewer folk rising to the challenge.
I've thought Usenet in decline, but maybe that's fictional in that a
lot of groups are more active than ever according to Usenet bandwidth
calculations. Maybe it's just we old farts aren't as active as
before. The real truth is that life itself is a terminal illness, but
the folk entering their 50's today haven't really discovered Usenet.
The younger crowd, as noted by Reddit, have found Usenet useful for TV
program capture & relay. Many using Euiropean servers not subject to
the D * M * takedown notices along with filelockers that just continue
to host all sorts of stuff.
I kept looking for a private Torrent useful for seniors, alas, nothing
yet.
