Ok, then. Let me ease your mind. No one talks about it
anymore because of Big Media(?) wanting to keep property away from us.
But it used to come up from time to time about how long cdr's/dvd's
would last. Well let me tell you they will last indefinitely as long
as you are keeping them clean, dry, and relatively cool.
If you throw them around where they're getting scuffed and
scratched, then eventually they will become unreadable. As I have
mine, I never encountered a problem and the early ones are over 15
years old. I used to keep the bulk of them in individual
envelopes(disc sleeves), but now just my wallpaper ones.
I'm becoming more space-conscious though and I've started just
stacking them in the 100 count spindles they come with. We'll see how
that goes, but immediately it makes them harder to search for
anything. I don't do that anyway(we've had that discussion). I might
as well be burying them in the backyard...??? Ya, I don't know...is
there such a thing as porn hoarding? ;-)
