Well I can't change ISP's; this is a one-horse town, sadly.
And as far as Usenet? Astraweb is only costing me $7.50 a month. If
I'm getting as good as the dL's I am, I'm sticking with them.
Spectrum(Time Warner) went to $49.99 earlier this year.
Yesterday it just seemed that things came around slowly. I'm
running on a thin budget right now so any "upgrades" are no-go.
And for what it's worth, I see people bitching about every
news service these days...not defending anyone's poor service, but
Astraweb is leaning on the plus side of OK. How posts propagate is a
little beyond me. i.e. I'm on their service looking for my posts and
they're not there. For most days, it only takes maybe 30 seconds for
me to see my posts appear.
...Did you see my comment about my OS crash yesterday? First
time ever I had W8 do a blue-screen crash on me. I mean the system
crashed in the middle of watching YouTube and the sound locked up into
like an air-raid pattern. Considering what I was watching, it was a
little scary. ;-)
