This also does comprehensive batch resizing/conversion and renaming
(renaming is used frequently by myself).

Agreed.  I tend not to buy high end graphics cards, due to the high
premium.  I have a mid/low range NVidia GTX 750  ( about my limit
budget wise).  I prefer to spend the money on the monitor, which is
currently an aging 22"
iiyama,  tempted by new 24" panels.
