Capture devices have outpaced renderers. There's a void there
no one is filling. Must not be any real money in it!
I rememeber one time, long ago when someone complained about
how large some of the image files I posted were. Well, it's only
gotten worse. When you have cameras that are 20 megapixel and up and
even our monitors are lagging, what's to expect but for things to be
worse?
With my systems, I see the worse culprit always being
Watch4Beauty. One day we'll all thank them for their courage! But as
it is now, there's a delay in viewing their images consecutively. How
do you guys handle that? For looking through set folders I've found
my ACDSee program works better than anything else I have. Yes, W4B
makes it hard on ACDSee too, somewhat, but a LOT better than anything
else. Yout better have a scroll-wheel on your mouse though.
I've read recently that NVidia encourages people to only use
one video card nowadays. Why? Most new software doesn't have the
capability to use the second card. "What about 4K monitor use?"
You'll barely be able to play(games) a relatively high-refresh rate
without dialing down the settings. "So what's the use of having a 4
or even 8K monitor?" Beats me!
Talking about video cards...anyone else suspicious about how
all of a sudden the card makers have leap-frogged way ahead with their
cards performance? I think someone's done a magic trick or maybe it
was in anticipation of AMD coming out with their new line-up. Well,
if you were dumb enough to shell out for those new Titans then "a fool
and his money are soon parted".
Maybe anyone else can talk about what they use for their image
viewers. I'll add that for the most part I use Windows Image & Fax
viewer that comes with W8(you can downLoad this with W10).
Btw, you c-o-u-l-d do a batch half-sizing on those W4B's with
Irfanview. I don't. It's not that hard to set up though. I've tried
fooling around with it.
