 I cannot guarantee Index files. The image management tool I use
 (Faststone) generates them, but at a price of time.  Luckily my
 library is logically stored in a deep directory structure, keeping the
 sets in small groups.
 
 I wouldn't be able to send large uploads as I have recently if I had
 to generate indexes for everything.  :-(
 
 One benefit I have discovered, is that the Index creation leaves an
 audit trail, that lets me know if a set has been uploaded and when :-)
