You could try it, but I would think most eBay sellers would be wary about
(a) copyright issues,
(b) devaluing the scarcity of book by making scans available,
(c) damaging the book in the process, and
(d) doing it for $10 or so (including the time spent e-mailing or
posting to a 3rd-party site).
Digital photos would be faster and have less potential for damage, but
the final results would probably not be satisfactory upgrades.
