That'd be a "no" on newer stuff and she hasn't tried Riverdale
(cordcutters for more than a decade). I think it's the nostalgia and
simplier times/themes that appeal to her. But then she likes older
movies better than newer movies for the most part. For her, Godzilla in
a rubber suit will always be better than a CGI crapfest. And the
sillier the better (60s/70s Showa era in the original Japanese). ;-)

I think I see a pattern!
I can't get her to watch the new Star Treks. I took her to see Godzilla
1998 and the first Scooby Doo live action movie (she *HATED* both).
Heck, she chose the The Bat Whispers (1930) as our "Halloween" movie
last night. It was a double feature with Abbott & Costello Meet
Frankenstein (my son's choice). I'm more partial to The Cat and the
Canary (1939) and the Ghost Breakers (1940).
