That's always the challenge for me... how much to tweak and how
"new/clean" to make the pages look. I've been going for an intact aged
page look with very subtle color correction, but that just my
taste/choice on this restoration.
I did notice a loss of detail in your version, particularly blue
background areas. It also appears green tinted on my screen (non-retina
MBP LCD). But again it's all a matter of choice and the device viewed
on.
I can post more WIP versions as it progresses or even the PSD file if
you're interested. My current plan was just to post the "finished" (is
this type of project ever really finished?) product. Or if it takes too
long a cleaned up WIP version just needing additional area
healing/repair as that takes the longest.
Sidenote: these old multi-story books always seem to me to inidicate a
lack of standardized blank art pages from the publisher as the aspect
ratio of the panel area of the pages deviates by feature. Challenges,
challenges...
