My mother's car was a 1951 Plymouth station wagon with visor like this one:

 http://image.hotrod.com/f/powertour/8931731+w799+h499+cr1+ar0/hrpt_day1_2006_gallery_28_z%2b1951_plymouth_suburban_wagon%2b.jpg

 ...except hers was dark blue

Can't remember how many times I took my date out to a movie then 'parked' with
the backseat folded down and both of us stretched out in the back.

It had 16" rims and a huge steering wheel needed to turn the tires when not
moving...seriously...no power steering in that little beast.
