 Not sure about the accuracy either, but the A-36 Invader may be better know
 to you as the A-36 Apache mainly flewn in the Burma/India theatre.

 I cannot vouch for the accuracy of what is presented, but this article is
 interesting.  I had never heard of the A-36 Invader variant of the P-51.
