Google makes available the collection of LIFE photos in its "cultural institute"
feature. It covers a very large period since the 1930s.

Enter key words in the upper left search field, for ex "Aerial Jeep" or "F-14".
The syntax is quirky. If you figure it out please explain. The default seems to
be "OR". Search is hit-and-miss, but some very nice photos result.
