Some more references for your series. Women flying combat missions, too.
the Israeli air force. During op Kadesh (the IDF seizure of Sinai to break the
blockade on Eilat) she was in the air force reserve and flew co-pilot of the
lead C-47 for the paratroops assault on Mitla pass. Then she again dropped
paratroops at El-Tor on November 3rd.
After the birth of her first daughter she had to retire from the IAF (their
policy then) and became a pilot for Arkia Airlines for 3 years, before joining
the Technion at Haifa.
