 With the exception of the Spitfire, lack of aesthetics seems to be ingrained in
 British aircraft design.
 
 In the vid, a former pilot said that almost all pilots when first introduced to
 the plane hated it, based solely on looks.  It wasn't until they flew it that
 they appreciated it & changed their minds.
 
 I guess ugliness can be its own virtue.
