I know little about the BPF, other than the carrier's armoured
flightdecks providing some protection against kamikaze impacts, and
Admiral King's initial reluctance to have a British fleet operate with
the USN, so this is a very interesting article indeed.
And thank goodness the Americans developed the carrier aircraft that
they did - they were superb, and no wonder the FAA pilots rated them so
highly.
