2016 was also the 40th anniversary of Barry Sheene's first motorcycle Grand
Prix world championship. Whilst motorcycles don't greatly interest me and
anyway are outside the scope of the group, Sheene did have a go at the
British Saloon Car Championship after he retired from bike racing in 1985,
managing two podium finishes.
