So true; even the ISP's employees don't have a clue...other
than the fact that most have turned it off without any announcement
(Time Warner Cable). "Ya...we don't have that anymore."
With 300 million the population for the US, I'd say you'd be
hard pressed to find 500,000. Unless you were an early adopter, most
don't even know of it's existence and it seems there aren't many new
recruits!

We all leave electronic trails no matter the medium. You have
an IP address anytime you're online anywhere; an address - just like
the one on your mailbox.

LP, I don't know why you have such a chip on your shoulder. I
don't think you would have ever been satisfied posting here unless you
were paid for it. 'Thanks' are certainly gravy, but you need to
simply have a "giving spirit". I consider my postings to simply be
sharing. I say all this with no malice to you...I just don't get the
attitude. Were you expecting long detailed conversations about
splooge? ;-) And like others have said, a true-blue lurker isn't
going to unlurk come Hell or high water.
We all too often tend to think others should have the same
expectations or thoughts we ourselves would. Not true. One thing
this group should be thankful for is the lack of nym-shifting trolls
criticizing posters. That can be a real bitter pill.
Content is what keeps groups alive. Long live the posters!!!
