An important followup to my issues with WMV files uploaded by Thumper.
Turns out there is a proper way to do it. And using SABMZBD to download
the files and decode them isn't it. My workaround turned out to be
laboriously unnecessary.
JFTHOI, I downloaded new WMV files with MT-Newswatcher and then decoded
them with The Archive Browser. The result played perfectly, can be
Handbraked and most of all the files do not have the offending header I
mentioned in my previous post. So it looks like SABNZBD is not stripping
out the header either on download or on assembly.
Anyway, more info than anyone needed to know I'm sure. And thanks to
Thumper again.
