I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago.
Folks told me that they could read them fine, but they were using Forte. I used
to use it, but got in the habit of just using the web interface to download
stuff.
Nobody mentioned what could be wrong and I started using Forte again and
everything worked fine.
The downloads are faster, too.
So this may remain one of the great mysteries of the universe :-)
