I get a laugh from all of this, having my own first hand
experience. So many people blaming the students, but just turn this
around and make Beth a man and the students females, and see how much
argument you would get over who the criminal is.
I read above that the supposed exhusband of Mary Ann Wegener (Mrs.
Smith to those of us she taught) posted a response agreeing that the
teacher is the victim. Bullshit! I guess he thinks that way since
after his wife finished attempting to blame him for her actions, she
blamed her students next (and so saved the ex a big headache with her
change of heart).
Mary Ann Wegener (Mrs. Smith at the time) taught me 6th grade
English at FK White middle school in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I didn't
see her again until I was reintroduced to her my freshman year, by
some other guys already involved with her. Supposedly, she gave them a
videotape and photos of her nude and in sexual acts, and that enabled
them to blackmail her into a prolonged sexual relationship with her.
Well, she liked it to stay that way because then she got to blame
everyone else for her own kinky sexual weirdness. I was a fifteen year
old kid, for Christ's sake! You show me any other 15 year old who
would have turned that down at the time. Problem is, you grow up and
then realize how screwed up you have become because of some perverted
criminal like Mrs. Smith! But hey, blame the kids! Take the easy way
out!
Any woman who did such a thing as Beth Geisel probably has the
same screwy problems Mary Ann had. Mary Ann had all kinds of kinky
sexual proclivities (bondage, exhibitionism, group sex, bestiality,
etc.), and the only way she could do what she wanted and still feel ok
with herself was to make it as though she was the victim. Mary Ann was
the one who gave us the pictures and videotapes, not her husband, not
anyone else. When she was eventually caught, she still manipulated
everything and everyone, marrying the son of a prominant local
attorney for his political connections and money, and using our
sheriff, whose son was friends with her brother; in the process
escaping any consequences for her actions. Beth obviously had to do
something to begin with to be blackmailed about, and even when they
tried to blackmail her all she had to do was say no and go to the
authorities. Case closed.
Mary Ann had the same option. All she had to do was say no and go
to the police. Hard to do though if she was the one who gave out her
photos and videos. Instead, she chose to start sleeping with students,
eventually becoming sexually active with over 30 or 40 kids. What? No
big national news story? No big scandal in Lake Charles, Louisiana?
All she had to do was say no. Was that so hard? Well, it was if what
she really wanted was to have sex with that many guys. And I'll bet
Beth Geisel enjoyed what she did also, and now she also gets to play
the victim after living out her little fantasies.
Mary Ann Wegener is a sexual criminal. Beth Geisel is a sexual
criminal. Again, make them a guy, the students girls, and how many of
you would be arguing then? You can't have different laws for different
sexes!
