I'm putting a SATA DVD drive into a PC. All previous DVD drives I've used
have been IDE - this is my first SATA DVD drive. The IDE DVD drives all
had three connectors: power, data, audio. The SATA drive has power &
data, no audio connector.
Does that mean when playing a DVD on a SATA drive the audio goes through
the data channel to the PC's sound system or did I just buy the wrong kind
of DVD drive (one that doesn't have an audio connector)?
Thanks.
