This release features the complete performance from the first night of two at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday 27th May 2005. This was the warmest day in the UK of the year so far
(in fact the hottest day in May in over 50 years!) which meant that the venerable old Albert Hall was sultry in the extreme (no air-con!). The set list offer no tour premieres, but some
nice performances (especially at the piano and/or organ) and the intrepid taper of this source recording managed to catch remarkable sound by the standards of this building!
