Why do Restore Points disappear WITHOUT notificatin? 0/n
HD space is at an all time dirt cheap low,
so, how about someone puts pressure
on microsoft to allow automatic
archiving of EVERY restore point that
is created. Then fifty years from now,
your artificial body and mech-chem
brain can load any of fifty versions of
your current system for this year
FOREVER.

Microsoft needs to let ctrl-alt-del
WORK during a BSOD.

BSOD occurs when Windows finds
an identifiable problem. Make
Microsoft TELL you what that
problem is on the BSOD screen!

If it says "a driver has attempted
an illegal operation", then it
needs to say "your [psp software]
driver tried to [access protected
memory].

The biggest canard is when XP mode
in Windows 7 displays a BSOD.
It sits there and lies to your face:
"Windows has shut down to protect
your hardware from damage".
You KNOW this is false, because if
your computer was executing
software that was harmful to your
hardware, there's NO POSSIBILITY
that XP mode would know about it
and Windows 7 would not. So
where's the Win7 BSOD that should
AUTOMATICALLY supercede an
XP mode BSOD if the hardware is
truly threatened?

How come the mouse wheel fails
to work in so many system
dialog windows?

Why did Microsoft DESTROY well
working systems:

Why did it take FIVE YEARS to
just make "turn off monitor
NEVER" work? And ESPECIALLY,
why isn't that the default? Why
do all versions of Windows start
with a ten minute timer until
blank? I'm pretty sure that NO
monitor made after 1977 has ANY
problem with "burn in", which is
why blanking and screen savers
were invented. It's like putting
a hay basket for your horse on
every "horseless carriage" (car).

Autoupdating of Windows Explorer
items used to be automatic and
PERFECT and now it's not. Having
to contiually press F5 / ctrl-R is
unnecessary and VERY aggravating.

This one BOTHERS EVERYBODY:
When you expand a folder in the
left pane, it slams the parent
folder to the BOTTOM of the
window, the ONLY PLACE where
you CANNOT see what expanding
the folder is intended to show
you. If you ever doubted that
Microsoft does this crap just to
screw with you, this proves it
true.

Windows Explorer status bar used
to report remaining HD space and
now it doesn't. Now you have to
right click on the drive letter and
select 'properties' to find out info
you ALWAYS could use and
ALWAYS want to know.

How do I get rid of that bottom
unnecessary idiot panel? And
where the hell did my 'folder'
button go? At least they let you
turn off the far right third pane!

Microsoft used to try and help
users solve problems. Now they
send out minions to screw with
you to dissuade you from even
trying to solve problems. You
can tell who they are instantly:
1) They show up REAL quick.
2) They first try to confuse by:
"are you sure it isn't problem
B, C or D?" when they know
damn well it's problem A as
described. And then the
coup de gras:
3) Well, that's just really NOT
a problem at all.
As soon as this process is
painstakingly complete, no
answer is evident and anyone
else who asks is assured "that
problem has already been
dealt with" when it really
hasn't been.

Security is all fine and well and
good, except Microsoft has been
no good at it ... in fact ass
backwards about it. Took forever
to come to their senses and stop
allowing autorun to work
unimpeded. Say you have a CD
drive and a floppy drive, but your
system is safe because to exit
your screen saver, one must give
it a password, right? Well, you
stick in a CD that autoruns a
program to write ANYTHING
to your floppy drive and the
system would dilligently comply
with no evidence after the fact,
once someone has removed the
damning evidence (and all your
secrets) from the CD and floppy
drives.
