This appears to be a Poor DVD Rip. Not great quality, but viewable.
Two issues. First, the Aspect Ratio should be 16:9. With Media Player Classic the movie opens at 16:9, despite showing 4:3 in its Properties. VLC opens as 4:3. Needs a manual adjustment at the start.
Second issue, the last 7 1/2 minutes of this film are corrupt. However, pretty much the entire plot can be followed before the last 7 1/2 minutes.
This is how I got the movie. I've always had an upgrade in the back of my mind, but never found one. I'm not sure why this movie is so hard to find.
There was a legal dispute regarding the film that made it long unavailable. But it is my understanding that the dispute was resolved in 2005, and the movie was made available then. The last fourteen years should have allowed enough time for this movie to better circulate.
If you have a better copy, a copy with the 16:9 aspect ratio as the default, and/or with the entire movie viewable, please post it. TIA!
