Thanks to the Original Poster!
I think there were four movies where William Powell starred as Philo Vance. I will post all four. The quality varies, including one which is Poor.
All four movies were posted by (_) on 2-Mar-2010. In addition, this movie was posted by Wolfhound on 23-Jan-2010. (Thanks to both those guys!)
I know of those postings because of saw them last night. Though I already had them, I downloaded two of them again. They're there! Those, and a lot of similar movies, are there for you if you have a server that will get them.
In a 02 May 2019 reply to olddog at this group, fred-bloggs opined that "Giganews has the worst completion of all." I don't personally know about its completion. But from requests such as yours, in my opinion, they're retention isn't the best.
At https://www.giganews.com, Giganews states: "...We deliver 3+ years of binary retention...." Let's see. We're in 2019. Going back 3+ years, Giganews is saying they cary binary posts going back to 2015 or 2016.
Last night I downloaded a movie posted in August 2008. (Most August 2008 posts are gone for me, but it seems most October/November 2008 posts are still there.) For Giganews, it seems getting 2010 is a pipe dream, much less 2008.
I'm sure Giganews has advantages. But if you want to get posts such as these, I suggest you do some comparison shopping. There was a LOT more posting back then, by a LOT more posters, and many of those posts are still there.
