As a point of interest, if you're finding many titles you'd like to
download but they're no longer complete on your Usenet provider, you
can also consider subscribing to a Block Account, such as
Blocknews.net. You can purchase a quantity of 'block download', and
set your reader to use both services, and have your reader 'shell out'
to the block account to look for pieces that are missing from your
primary Usenet server. Using Blocknews, I've been able to get complete
downloads as far back as 2009, and even some from late 2008. Ten years
ago!

Block accounts are relatively cheap, and you only 'use up' your
purchase when you shell out to look for those missing pieces, so your
purchase may well last you quite a while, depending on 1) how much you
buy and 2) how much old, missing stuff you need to go out for.

I use Blocknews, and NewsDemon (both of which provide two channels to
download from) as a secondary backup. Worth the modest price to get
some of those moldy-oldy uploads from some time back that your Primary
Usenet service hasn't retained on its servers.
