Please remember that the ranking number is NOT meant to be an objective ranking. It is my subjective opinion.
I have an affinity towards older movies. I have a lot of 1930s and 1940s movies in my list. If that wasn't the case, this movie would be ranked much higher.
I don't always agree with IMDb's Ratings. But if you're looking for an objective number, IMDb's 7.5 Rating is a better indicator than my #56 Mystery/Crime Ranking.
