Although not exact, in Rolling Thunder, a Viet Nam Vet (William Devane) returns home, and then is accosted by thugs who take his hand and put it in asink garbage disposal then killl his family - he then gets a hook put on it and (along with Tommy Lee Jones) goes after the bad guys.
