Until you have a projection mechanism that feeds your left eye and your
right eye with totally independent video streams, you will see no 3D.
Theatrical 3D does this by sending 2 oppositely-polarized beams to the
screen, and your polarized eyeglasses separate them out. New
virtual-reality glasses are the same. If you have a new HDTV with HD
support, and glasses, you get 3D.
I'm happy that Naughty America has begun 4K (2160p). Quality first, I
guess.
ESPN has promised.
If the guys have sports and porn, 4K will become an institution. Then look
to 3D as a next step.
I think you can count on it.
