My first modem was 300 bps. Was able to find a BBS that had games - text based only but what the hey - they were games and FREE. Some of the BBS Sysops would kick me off with "Get some speed man!". It was expensive back then. My wife complained that I tied up the phone line all the time but that was just the way it was in dinosaur days.... 16 K of ram - I upgraded to 64 K as a "power user". No hard drive - only 110K floppies (Apple 2E).
I started out with LNW 80 (a Radio Shack Level 1 Model 2 copy of a computer) with cassette tape as storage. Ah back then NOBODY knew what a computer was. Now they are all experts <grin>.
