I want to thank you for all of your tips. First of all, I tried the disk
cloning idea first with Apple's disk imaging software. When I hit start,
it told me it would take over 2000 hours to complete. I smiled at this,
but after 8 hours, it had barely registered movement. So I cancelled. It
took another hour to complete this command. My disk utility, Tech Tool
Pro, informs me that I have a seek and read problem, although everything
else is good with the drive. Second, unfortunately I have never used,
tried, or experimented with Linux, so I am completely clueless. And
third, I have also had success with freezing a hard drive once, but it
was a 20MB drive. But freezing a 1TB drive may work for a short time,
but it will heat up fast thus going back to the original state (maybe).
Plus, I am very leery of even handling the drive, possibly causing other
issues. Just let it be, it's working (for now). To date, I have 400GB
transferred with 400+ to go. I have recently noticed that movie files
over 200MB are the most affected. Music, images, and text files transfer
just fine. Lastly, I am using my old 2004 Macbook laptop to read my
newsgroups. It takes forever to download movies and nearly impossible to
view them. Truly amazing how, in just a few years, technology has
allowed us perverts to access our porn. Lol. Hoping your day is great.

P.S. Two more clips are going up soon.
