 Is your drive dead or will the system just not boot?
 If the drive is spinning and not making ticking noises it probably is
 still ok. It can be removed and the data pulled off. Chances are good
 the data can be pulled off even if the drive is making odd noises.
 Any additional information might be of use as well.
