Indeed many here have been using Usenet for years. But you are right
that new blood for Usenet is missing to some extent. Collecting TV
shows via semi-automatic NZBs is one very popular method. But the
stuff that we came to find on Usenet is now found on Tubesites and
full DVD type stuff from Torrents or filelockers.
Usenet uses must master a News reader, RAR, Par software that other
methods don't need. Remember when you were a newby and had to learn
all the stuff and how the oldies would castigate dweebs? Too much
effort for todays kiddies. Then again, finding a group with 10M
headers can be daunting at first. Then for binaries you must have a
premium provider because ISPs got scared of the DCMA and kiddieP, they
say, but really the lack of users drove their actions. So, more $,
more compleity results in a declining user base...
