I have the same experience here. My neighbors are all VERY supportive of
my show, especially since I do collect for a popular local charity. I do
have one mild Grinch that takes issue with the traffic. But he isn't a
concern, and is well outnumbered.

As far as the article you mentioned...  A lot depends on where you are
located, and how willing and able you are to fight it. In the 12/17 -
01/18 Reader's Digest, there was an article about a town (Plantation,
FL) trying to shut down a Christmas display due to the traffic 'safety
concerns'. But a court ruled that the display itself did not threaten
public safety. So the City basically has no say in the matter.

I know a lot of shows that have been shut down through the years. This
particular family just took the time to fight it, and won.
