I use GigaNews as my newsgroup server. I too am having trouble with
your recent posts. For example with respect to ap0709043 even the
picture is damaged (both copies that I see posted) and the PARs are so
damaged they provide zero recovery.
It was only recently that I had any trouble with your tremendous
posts.(thank you for all of those) Recently the PARs would provide
recovery parts but insufficient to cure the defects in the one or two
bad RARs. I generally use the NZB files to download through Mimo as it
downloads faster than Agent. I went back to Agent to dowload the
affected RARs to combine with the Mimo download and got the same lack
of result.
I am not sure if this is relevant but recently I suddenly have found
my Agent folder for this newsgroup causes my file manager folder to
crash. The hard disk and file structure checks as OK. I renamed the
folder with a 01 after it and let Agent create a fresh one. I moved
some of the contents out and will work on resolving the issue more
completly in the future.
I did find the following though if this helps anyone. These are the
last notes in a text file I had made in an effort to delete a
problematical folder created by unraring a post. (Binsearch shows the
errant folder was from a relatively old post made by Cervante (thanks
to that poster for their posts too!) Now, if I noticed I would rename
the folder to start with in Unrarring it. Obviously I did not know at
the time. This was done in Windows 10.
The other command that might work is DEL but never tried it
sucessfully, resolving the problem with RD first. Someone more
knowledgable might be able to explain the difference. Maybe one
removes a file and the other removes the directory or folder? Anyway
the notes should be self-explanatory. I found these by searching
(Googling) when I had problems with a folder ending in dots. If you
have this folder and want to get rid of it after renaming and saving
the contents, use your own folder path and name after the commands

and problem seems to be that I used the run box rather than the
Administrator: Command Prompt.
Now the rd command worked and errant folder seems to be gone. I had
renamed the contents and moved them first.
