Both Astra & Easynews (and quite possibly others) have had difficulties over
recent days with poor propagation and massive incompletes in their binary
groups. Nevertheless, given a few hours, things seem to resolve. I had no
problem downloading the complete files, but it is possible that I had
Newsbin set to pull from multiple servers.

You must be kidding, asking me of all people for technical advice.
All I can do is to explain my posting process and let others come to
conclusions.
I post the files using Xnews. I can see that all of the files are shown as
complete.
On the other hand, I use Agent to download, I see that four of the 8 files
are shown as complete, namely Parts 1, 2, 4 and 8.
I can add that I never had problems with Agent in the past but for the last
several weeks, many posted files are shown as incomplete.
