Thanks to Phinney and Thane. Obviously this CD I got is one of a kind.
My guess is that my friend from Japan ripped an LP produced in Japan,
or maybe in Russia.
If I could speak Russian I might try finding the recording from all
those put out by that choir under its long time conductor, V. Popov,
and maybe there is a cover out somewhere.
One thing that was a bit "funny".
When I entered the contents of the CD into my posting file, I did not
get any sensible text for any of the 11 tracks, just a succession of
letters that made no sense.
And I don't know if this has any bearing at all but the posting
process was quite long with many interruptions.
But at least it seems that the music got through OK (though I have not
yet heard from the friend who requested the post) !
