I don't think it's necessary to add that the whole matter goes by way
over my head.
Personally I'm not affected by the debate. I have no reason to doubt
that this is probably a good thing but I'm well satisfied with my
stereo system and too old to consider any change.
I've always been more interested in the contents than in the format,
and I still find listening to treble music under my setup a pleasant
experience.
If I may add this without seeming to brag unduly, I don't often find
something posted that I don't already have, and as far as I can see,
new flac posts will probably be for me some kind of glorified reposts
:-)
But I find it perfectly OK if those more up to date choose to adopt
the new format and I have absolutely no problems with that.
For my part I'll stick to what I have already mastered (!) and I'll go
on posting in the antiquitated mp3 format :-)
The good thing I see from the emergence of this topic is that it has
brought out people from wherever they were and I welcome their future
contributions to the group.
However I found that reply to nene out of place.
He had simply reminded others that this s a classical treble music
group.
The group is and has always be open to all posters of classical treble
music.
It should not even be necessary to point this out.
And as is usually the case, the message came from someone not
precisely known for his regular posts to this group. So I don't think
we'll miss him too much.
