Yes, that's true. Although, personally I always prefer the original
language with soft subtitles instead of dubbing. Dubbing will always take
away much of the "feeling" the original has. Each to his, or her own, I
guess.

(I have a point with this rambling, so...)

Yes, I get the feeling though that they are interested in all the
classics. I saw quite a few of classic novels having been made into
Russian movies on yt after I had discovered this Huck&Finn series. Yes,
being able to mentally translate the Cyrillic into something legible
would help.

The Slavic, and especially the Russian people is traditionally a very
melodramatic one (present day westernized generation excluded). The old
classics are a great deal of their upbringing, or used to be.

Interestingly, one of their favorite Astrid Lindgren stories is "Karlsson
pÃ¥ taket" (Karlsson-on-the-Roof), personally I loath that obnoxious
character. However, in the mini series from 1976 the character of "Svante"
is played by this cute little boy, Lars Söderdahl. For this I would
recommend it.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0261776/ - can prove impossible to find.

Lars also played "Skorpan" in The Brothers Lionheart":

The point of the rambling:

Two posts available, so far untested, one 9 GB and the other 4 GB. :)

I will get to them in due time.

Thanks, Davey, for the information. Knowledge is, as they say, not heavy
to carry. :)

I will check it out as time and disk space allow. ;)
