Only Russian CC subs, but if you can extract them, you might succeed in
translating them using a translation service.
It has an all Russian cast, even some black actors who speak Russian (or
they were phonetically learning the Russian, and maybe they were also
dubbed, not known). So it's a tad odd, to say the least.

Strange voice for character? Speech impediment? No idea, he was born in
Moscow so he should have been able to speak Russian.
This is not uncommon, however, that they dub actors. For instance, in "Låt
den rätte komma in" (Let the Right One In), the original Swedish version,
they dubbed the actress Lina Leandersson for this reason: having a too
"squeaky" voice for the very dark character she played. Eli, by the way,
was a boy in the book. :)
Anyway, if you know the story, you can get by anyway without subtitles,
but of course it helps if you know a little Russian. The usual adventures
seem to be there. I have only watched about half of the first episode so
far.
In the usual Russian way, they drag on and on about certain events in
their movies, this mini series is no exception. The intro is about ten
minutes(!), where all/most main characters/actors are presented, the
painting of the fence is also quite a long episode, so I'm not surprised
they had to film three episodes to be able to show everything.
