Alex and his father are Detroit Tigers Fans. The team is not doing well and
Alex's favorite player, Billy Young, isn't either.
The team's and Billy's luck turn around after Alex experiences a tragedy that
hits close to home. Alex begins visiting every Tigers home game and wishes
hard while closing his eyes when Billy is at bat. Alex believes he is the
reason the Tigers are winning home games, so he starts ditching school to
ensure their winning streak.
While on his way to the big pennant game, Alex gets detained by the bully
from school. Will he make it in time or will the Tigers have to do it all on
their own?

This is a VHS-to-DVD that I bought from an online bootlegger. The quality is
not stellar, but it is quite watchable.
One caveat: on some software players, the A/R defaults to some 16:9 / 16:10
monstrosity and makes the film look wonky. Most software players allow you
to adjust the A/R, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem, and as far as I
know, if burned to disc and played in a standalone player, the A/R should be
correct.
