In this delightful musical adaptation of Mark Twain's most famous novel, run-
away slave, Jim, joins 15-year-old lovable scamp Huckleberry Finn for an
unforgettable raft trip down the mighty Mississippi River.
Strong-willed and self-raised, Huck decides to flee his hometown of Hannibal,
Missouri, when his cruel absentee father tries to kidnap him. Accompanying
him is the sharp-witted Jim, who fears he is about to be sold.
As the unlikely pair journey North to freedom, they develop a bond of friend-
ship and mutual respect that will help them brave a series of narrow escapes,
thrilling adventures, and characters so colorful that only Mark Twain could

Not able to hold a candle to the previous year's "Tom Sawyer," I find very
little to laud about this film. It's very lackluster when compared to the
joyous, upbeat vibe of "Tom Sawyer."
Jeff East is a good actor, and held his own, but the production itself is just
so... well, bland and boring! Even the songs lack any real 'life' like the
ones in "Tom Sawyer."
Also, we've still never been treated to a proper, Widescreen presentation of
"Huck" :(
